Week 5- Oct 03

For this Friday we listened to different types of music for about one minute each. After that time we determined our pulse rate and logged it into our data sheet.

1. Did any of the results surprise you? Why?

2. How can we use this as part of our final project? How?

From the results from the songs yes they really surprised me.

At many times my rate would just go up and at times it would go down.

But I think i know why I think with some songs my rate droped

because it was alow music or music I don't like.

I think this could really help me in my final project because

its your heart rate and how songs could really affect it and who songs make it react.

I think I was counting wrong haha cause my heartbeats barely changed. i did kinda see like a 1 heartbeat increase from listening to the faster songs. from these experiments we can conclude that music does affect our heart rate possibly because we get excited or son on.

We listened to diferent types of music. When we first started I thought my heart beats where going to change for every song. But most of the time my heart rate stayed the same. During the experiment I wondered if I was counting my heart beats right.

what surprised me about the results of the heart rate with the songs was that my heart rate went up with a genre of song I didn't know I liked.

these results can help us in our final project by seeing what songs can help people to calm their heasrt rate when it is too high.

It was the FUNNIEST thing ever!

:) I had alot of fun with my Hw this

week. I did'nt think that my heart

reacted differently to the different

genres but whats funnier is that it

actually sped up when i disliked a

song and sped when i did'nt.

i thought ita was really cool that we got to listen to music during class even though it was a really short period, but about the heart rate, im not sure if i was even doing it right cause i got tha same result for most of them, i didnt change....

unfortunately I was absent that day due to familiar issues. They told me it was fun.

This activity about hearing music and counting the beats per minute of your heart was really cool.

I found out that my heart beats at a different rate, when I hear different music. This is a cool activity

and I'm looking foward to our next class activity.

Hearing the types of music

and seeing how your heart's beats

increased or decreased depending

on the music was fun.

It did surprise me when

i saw my heart beating much

faster at a faster song than

a slower song or to the songs

that i dislike.
