Week 8- Oct 24

Please respond in 3-4 sentences about what you got out of class today... whether it is about the advertising techniques of the energy drinks (amp, redbull, rockstar, monster), how energy drinks effected you if you tested them, or how the survey you created will be helpful to our studies.

Through the websites we went on in class today was an eye opener. I knew monster sponsored motor cross but ididnt realize that the advertisers were really going for the male viewers. I didnt like the fact that the energy drinks didnt include all the ingredients "caffine" I think the survey was a good start.

through the websites that we went today in class i learned that energy drinks are even worst than i thought. They contain way to many sugars and caffeine. i didnt like the fact that they dont show all of their ingredients nor the effects they can cause in the official websites.

What I got out of class on Friday is that I got to see how bad energy drinks are.

I Also got to see everything that they put on energy drinks and all the bad stuff they put.

A last thing is that energy drinks sometimes have a lot of something in them like caffeine that they don´t want to say how much caffeine they have.

The survey that we created will be helpful to us.Because we can see how people react with certain energy drinks they take.It could be that some energy drinks affect the body more than other energy drinks.

Well I liked some of the web pages of the energy drinks and some others I did not liked. For example the redbull primary page was pretty plain and boring but the other ones had something a little more exiting. I think that AMP was very smart to put a least one girl in their advertising, because no other web page that I saw had girl in it. The survery is going to help us to see the different reactions of the different kinds of bodies with the effect of the energy drinks (amp, redbull, rockstar, monster, etc.,)

what i learned today by looking at the energy drink pages was that they are aimed at young people. these web pages intend to make the drinks look "cool". in all of them the word extreme is used several times. in addition none of the pages describe completly what the drinks contain.

The advertisement of energy drinks in their websites are made appealing and like flashy to catch your attention and to make you want to buy what theyre trying to sell. Some of these sites like amp have so much in them that you want to look at everything and you forget to look up the calorie, sodium and sugar intake. Its not even posted on the site at all >:o The survey will help us see how each person is affected by consuming energy drinks depending on their lifestyle.

One thing i got out of class today was that monster avoids giving information about caffiene. The advertizing techniques for these energy drinks are very catchy which make people want them. Comparing amp, redbull, rockstar, and monster, amp is the safest to drink while monster is the most dangerous.

this activity was fun because we saw different energy drink websites. i did not know that all of those ingridients were

on the drinks but thanks to this activity i know not to drink energy drinks often cause there too strong!!!
