The BiomedicineWorks Community is one resource to help you prepare your poster for the symposium. You will find the When, Where, What and Why here...

WHEN: April 17 and 18 (you will stay overnight at the Atlantic Oaks Hotel in Bar Harbor)

WHERE: Mt. Desert Biological Laboratories in Bar Harbor

WHAT: Student posters about "How you use EBM tools to evaluate a paper that addresses a diagnostic question." Students will use cases and papers they are already familiar with (the final lessons in the Diagnostic units) to illustrate the EBM process for this scientific audience (with minimal medical knowledge).

WHY: This opportunity will inform the science community about our project and allow selected students and teachers to see the many research opportunities that are afforded college students in Maine through the Maine Idea Network with support from the NIH.

HOW: Use the tools on the CD supplied to your teacher to create your poster and get ready for us to video your presentation for posting in the BiomedicineWorks Community of SciVeeTV. You can see an example of a SciVeeTV poster-cast in the Community Postercast section below the message area.

ALSO OF NOTE: You can view a video podcast that helps "fill in the gaps" for students when reading the Sabbi, et al paper (Diagnostic Unit) here: http://web.mac.com/apallan/iWeb/Site/BiomedicineWorks%20Podcasts/Biomedi...
